Speccy: A Deep Look into Your PC

Written by Kevin

Speccy is a program that tells you all the information you could ever want to know about your computer.

Have you ever wanted to know everything there is to know about your computer?  I’ve found myself wondering that many times.  Speccy is a program that tells you all the information you could ever want to know about your computer.  It’s like a creepy stalker except … not.  Anyways, this program is pretty ridiculous.

It’s got the basic installation wizard you go through for every program known to man.  You just go through that, get it installed and you’re good to go.  There are no settings that you need to change unless you want to change the language or prefer Fahrenheit to Celsius.  You can change that in the View tab at the top and then going into Options.

As soon as you click on the program, it runs automatically.  In a few seconds, it spits out everything about your computer.  CPU, RAM, Motherboard, etc., is there.  Not only that, but on the left side of the window, you can click on whichever piece of hardware you want and you will get an even more detailed look into your system.

Summary

It shows you everything from CPU cores to IP addresses.  Even I don’t know what some of the stuff is in there.

Note: This program is only for Windows 7, Vista and XP including both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

I hope you find this program as interesting and as cool as I do! You can download it here.

  • Interesting! This is a cool program spitting out good information on a PC. I just wish that aside from getting details it could also tell if there is something wrong. How’s that?

    • Unfortunately, there isn’t a good way to do that. The only way that I can think of is after you run the program, save a .txt file (go to File then save as text file). Then, when you think your computer is having a problem or just for a routine checkup, compare the .txt file with the current run you have. From there, you can potentially diagnose any problem with your computer.

  • Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you have done a fantastic job with this. In addition, the blog loads super fast for me on Safari. Superb Blog!

  • Hi there! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that would be ok. I’m undoubtedly enjoying your blog and look forward to new updates.
